Dealing with 腳臭 is definitely an embarrassing ordeal and is particularly surprisingly more common than you may be thinking. Our feet are the location of 250,000 sweat glands which produce sweat daily, approximately one cup a day. Sweat is commonly used to regulate body temperature featuring its cooling effect in fact it is a combination of both sweating in excess and bacteria growing in the feet which results in the negative foot odor smell. This can easily develop into a problem even for the obsessively clean. Contrary to popular belief, it is far from simply the sweat which smells unpleasant, but when the sweat reacts together with the bacteria present around our systems, and this is what causes the not so good smell. Oddly enough the bacteria living on our feet produce gases much like the bacteria which is used in producing cheese!

Most people experience problems of foot odor in the summertime. This makes sense whenever we think in terms of sweat as it is during summer we perspire the most. Unlike the sweat on our hands or another exposed elements of our system, the sweat on our feet cannot evaporate away. Adding in to the equation the point that bacteria multiplies much faster in summer and we have the two perfect partners in crime.
